About The Dog House
The Dog House is a modern mid terraced cottage with a surprisingly spacious interior.
The entrance hallway has all the space needed for all those shoes, coats and buckets and spades, and the hard flooring makes this the ideal space for wiping down those sandy paws! There's also a handy 2nd toilet off here as well.
The main living area is a comfortable open plan space with a sofa and armchair for relaxing, a dining table seating 4 for mealtimes or for fun filled evenings playing board games. There's also a TV offering sky and netflix for those who need their tv fix. Free wifi also provided.
The fully fitted kitchen has a full size oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washing machine and all the pots, pans and utensils you need to make delicious meals. But if you don't feel like cooking (and why would you, you are on holiday?!) the John Paul Jones pub is child and dog friendly and offers everything from breakfast to pizza and delicious pub grub, or try one of the many other local dog friendly pubs and cafes in the area.
Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms, one with kingsized bed, wardrobe and dressing table, the other with 2 small doubles, giving a comfy nights sleep for everyone, no bunk beds, singles or sofa beds here! These 2 beds are intended for single use only, our maximum occupancy being 4 people, we can however sleep one further infant in the travel cot provided. There is also a wardrobe and chest of drawers in this bedroom. The modern family bathroom has toilet, washbasin and a large walk in shower. Bed linen and towels are included, but please bring your own beach/pool towels.
Outside we have a private sunken patio area, ideal for that morning coffee or for sharing a glass of wine or G&T in the evening. Please note, although partially enclosed, this patio is not fully enclosed or secure, The Bay being an open plan design. There are however lots of grassy areas around the village, and we have a grassed area outside our front door.
Available year round, we have gas central heating and double glazing so our cottage is warm and cosy for those winter breaks, come back from an invigorating walk on the beach, draw the curtains and settle down with a good book and a hot chocolate! Or in the summer, after a fun filled day on the beach, fling open the french doors and let the warm sea breeze waft through the lounge as you relax on the patio on those balmy summer evenings!
